The Coates Roundhouse

The Coates Roundhouse is in poor condition compared with some of
the other roundhouses along the length of the Thames & Severn Canal,
especially the attractively presented example at Chalford. However,
it is worth seeing while visiting Sapperton Tunnel, and wondering
what it may have been like for the lengthsman and his wife to live
in this remote spot. (next picture) |
